All Rebreather Day on ScubatymeOn 30-Nov-07 fourteen rebreather divers boarded Scubatyme Charters for a day of rebreather only diving, put together by the Florida S.C.R.U.B.s. We visited three wrecks - the Jim Atria, 135 fsw, the Rodeo 25, 130 fsw, and the Captain Dan, 110 fsw. Watch this video to see what a great day we had! |
Hydro Atlantic Wreck - RevisitedThis movie of the Hydro Atlantic was made just two days after the one below, on 28-Aug-2007, from Avid Diver Charters. Two Optima rebreather divers begin the dive at the stern and make a complete tour of the wreck to the bow. The visibility was great that day, and we were swimming among large schools of bait fish and spotted one of the large goliath groupers that like to hang out on the wreck. |
Hydro Atlantic WreckThe Hydro Atlantic is one of South Florida's most popular technical wrecks. It sank during a storm in 1987, is 300 feet long and lies at 170 fsw. This video was made on 26-Aug-2007 as open-circuit technical divers toured the wreck from the bow to the skylights. The divers entered the engine room through a skylight, went down into one of the ships holds, then continued back to the anchor line at the bow. |
Sea Ranch ReefThe reefs off Pompano Beach are home to a variety of marine life. This movie of Sea Ranch reef was taken during just one dive, on 4-Aug-07 from Avid Diver Charters. We saw featherdusters, a scorpionfish, yellowheaded jawfish, Christmastree worm, coral banded shrimp, lobster, balloonfish, Southern stingray, Pederson shrimp, angelfish juvenile, spotted eel, schools of grunt, boga and porkfish, and a yellow stingray. |
Ancient Mariner WreckThis video stars two O2ptima rebreather divers as they explore the Ancient Mariner wreck. It was recorded over two days of diving, on 31-Jul-07 with South Florida Dive Headquarters, and on 2-Aug-07 with ScubaTyme Charters. The wreck lies in 70 fsw and boasts an easily accessible swim-through. |
